ANALYSIS: Democrats projected to take control of House and Senate

What the coverage says

As midterm voting wrapped up, coverage initially focused on the competitive House and Senate contests and the timelines for election results, with Fox News reporting President Donald Trump's warning that he would use his veto against a Democratic-controlled Congress. As results came in, NPR aired Democratic leaders expressing optimism about their electoral standing.
