Seahawks QB Sam Darnold OUT for Week 9 vs Cardinals, Drew Lock to start

What the coverage says

Seattle will play without quarterback Sam Darnold in their upcoming divisional game against the Cardinals due to a quad injury sustained during a loss to the Bears. Yahoo Sports added that head coach Mike Macdonald revealed Darnold also has a cracked rib from that game. Drew Lock will step in as the starter in Darnold's absence. CBS Sports noted that Lock is preparing for his second start of the season while simultaneously managing an elbow issue.
