Brandon Aiyuk will report to 49ers facility after filing for reinstatement

What the coverage says

San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has applied to the NFL for reinstatement and plans to arrive at the team facility on Friday. Yahoo Sports notes the decision occurs shortly before the league trade deadline, with the player returning after a turbulent year away from the organization. While Yahoo Sports reports the upcoming Santa Clara visit following ESPN's coverage, CBS Sports adds that the team now holds the option to trade or release the disgruntled player, viewing an outright cut as the most likely outcome.
