Americans head to polls in midterm elections seen as referendum on Trump
BBC
What the coverage says
Voters across the United States are casting ballots in legislative contests that decide control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives. These chambers are currently held by Republicans. The BBC notes that the outcome could shape the final years of the presidency and serve as a preview of politics in a post-Trump era, while The Guardian describes the voting as a referendum on a second Donald Trump presidency.
